Police Camp (Grades 10, 11 & 12)

The GVPF’s Mentorship Program aims to support, empower and inspire youth through facilitating trust-based and respectful mentorship connections with police officers from Greater Victoria.
GVPF Awards at Camosun College
The GVPF Awards at Camosun College recognizes four students from the Capital Region who have demonstrated a strong commitment to volunteerism, leadership and mentorship within their community.
Why Youth?
Youth are the leaders of tomorrow and the individuals who will continue to drive our society forward. It is important to ensure that they have the skills, confidence and opportunities they need to fulfill their potential, be their best selves and live their best lives.
It is also critical to intervene early enough to help those that might stray down the wrong path to get back on a more positive one. While there are a number of agencies doing great work with youth already, police have a unique role in helping to develop youth leadership and competencies. The Greater Victoria Police Foundation intends to work where there are gaps in programming and is open to collaboration.
