The success of our annual GVPF Police Camp during Spring Break continues to inspire everyone connected to the Foundation. Police Camp remains one of our flagship leadership programs, bringing together 50 students in Grades 10 through 12 for a unique experience that blends physical challenge, classroom learning, public safety education and teamwork. The eight day program is designed to help youth strengthen self-confidence, build interpersonal relationships and develop life skills that will serve them long after camp ends.
This year’s Police Camp once again demonstrated the value of giving young people the chance to step outside their comfort zones and discover their own leadership potential. Participants experienced activities that included hands-on public safety learning, team-based challenges and direct engagement with police officers and partner agencies. These experiences help create the kind of lasting connections that build healthier communities and stronger relationships between youth and those who serve them.

Upcoming: Junior Police Camp – August 4 to 7, 2026
Looking ahead, we are excited to announce the dates for this year’s Junior Police Camp: August 4 to 7, 2026. This upcoming program will build on the same spirit of encouragement, engagement and leadership development that has become central to the Foundation’s work.
Junior Police Camp, for youth ages 10-12, represents another important opportunity to reach young people earlier, foster positive experiences and continue strengthening bridges between regional youth and policing partners across Greater Victoria. This year’s Junior Police Camp applications will be open very soon. Keep watch on the website and our newsletter for updates.
